On September 18th, the artist known for the hit “Thotiana” dropped a fresh single titled “Baby Momma Drama,” and it didn’t miss the opportunity to throw shade at Lil Baby, the 4PF frontman.
In the song, Blueface delivers the line, “Lil Baby thought he knew me [laughs]/ How you let another grown man feel up on your booty?/ Couldn’t be me, boy, I am not a hoochie/ You guys are all about industry, while I’m genuinely in the streets,” set to a haunting, bass-heavy beat.
Blueface seems to be alluding to the viral photos from the past summer, where Lil Baby was seen getting an awkward hug from sports mogul Michael Rubin at his Fourth of July white party in the Hamptons. These pictures raised eyebrows on social media, even leaving 50 Cent bewildered.
50 Cent shared one of these photos on Instagram, expressing his confusion, “See this is why I don’t go to no party puffy and them at [side eye emoji],” he wrote on Instagram while sharing one of the photos. “Da fuk is going on here [facepalm emoji, sulking emoji] get the fuk off my young [ninja emoji] WTF!”
“Baby Momma Drama” comes in response to Lil Baby’s recent diss towards Blueface, which he previewed at a club over the weekend. While much of the lyrics in the short video were unclear, Lil Baby could be heard saying, “Put a hunnit up a million times, what is a Blueface?”
