A rising social media star in the motorcycle community, Karen Sofía Quiroz Ramírez, known online as “Bikegirl,” has tragically died at just 25 years old after a horrific road accident in Floridablanca, Colombia, according to multiple South American reports.
Authorities say Karen lost control of her motorcycle while maneuvering between two vehicles… a risky move commonly known as lane splitting. She struck a truck, and moments later was run over by another vehicle.
Jahir Andres, a regional transport official, told reporters that early findings suggest she was riding in between vehicles at the time of the collision. A full investigation into the crash is now underway.
What makes the tragedy even more heartbreaking is a chilling social media post Karen made just hours before the fatal ride. She reportedly wrote, “I’m hoping I don’t crash, because I’m riding without my glasses.”
Karen had built a devoted audience of more than 30,000 Instagram followers, sharing her passion for motorcycles and documenting life on two wheels. Just four days before the crash, she posted a video of herself washing her bike… now one of the last glimpses into her vibrant life.
