Beyoncé’s latest album, “Cowboy Carter,” has soared to the summit of both the Billboard 200 and Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, marking a groundbreaking achievement.
This accomplishment not only secures her position at the top of the music industry but also etches her name in history as the first Black woman to claim the No. 1 spot on the country chart.
According to reports from Billboard, “Cowboy Carter” made a remarkable debut, amassing 407,000 equivalent album units in its inaugural week. This impressive figure not only propels Beyoncé to the top but also crowns her with the biggest sales week of 2024, surpassing the previous record held by Future and Metro Boomin’s “We Don’t Trust You.”
The album’s success extends beyond just the country genre, with twenty-three out of its twenty-seven tracks securing spots on the prestigious Billboard Hot 100 chart.
This achievement elevates Beyoncé’s career total to an astounding 106 Billboard Hot 100 songs, placing her among an elite group of artists. Since the chart’s inception in 1958, she stands as only the 17th artist and the third woman to amass over 100 entries.
Among the standout tracks on “Cowboy Carter,” “Texas Hold ‘Em” leads the pack at No. 2, showcasing Beyoncé’s prowess in the country music realm. Notably, collaborations such as “II Most Wanted” featuring Miley Cyrus, and her rendition of Dolly Parton’s classic “Jolene” at No. 7, further highlight the album’s diverse appeal.
