Beyoncé’s highly anticipated Cowboy Carter tour has hit some unexpected bumps right out of the gate… and not just at the box office. The opening shows, including a major performance at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, were marred by noticeable stage blunders that left even Queen Bey visibly frustrated.
During a dramatic moment in the show, Beyoncé was seen walking confidently across the stage when she appeared confused while looking for her stage mark. The usual “X” that guides performers seemed to be missing, prompting her to stop and scan the floor before making an educated guess.
While she managed to find her place just in time, the situation was tense… massive picture frames on robotic arms were programmed to move within inches of her, and even a small misstep could have led to a serious accident.
That wasn’t the only technical hiccup of the night. Later in the performance, Beyoncé was set to rise dramatically on a glowing neon horseshoe. However, a wardrobe malfunction involving her glove brought the moment to a halt. A crew member rushed onstage in plain view of thousands of fans, lingering awkwardly as he struggled to fix the issue while Beyoncé stood motionless, clearly unimpressed.
Though Beyoncé handled the glitches like a pro, her expression during the mishaps said it all… calm on the surface, but clearly seething underneath.
Despite these viral stumbles, fans remain hopeful the tour will find its rhythm in the coming shows. As for Beyoncé, if anyone can turn technical trouble into a powerful performance moment, it’s her.
