Beyoncé is on track to make history with her upcoming Renaissance World Tour, potentially earning over $2 billion and breaking the record for the highest-grossing tour of all time. Forbes reports that the majority of her ten-figure projection will come from ticket sales and merchandise.
Low and high estimations put gross ticket sales between $751 million and $2.4 billion based on average ticket prices from 52 shows. Additionally, merchandise sales could generate $171 million, with 300,000 items sold at an average price of $100. Assuming Beyoncé keeps 80% of merchandise revenue, she could earn around $136.8 million.
Even if her ticket revenue falls in the middle of projections, Beyoncé would still surpass the current record holder, Elton John, whose Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour grossed $853 million from 293 concerts between 2018 and 2023. Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, set to kick off in March, is also expected to make a splash this year with projected earnings of $1.6 billion.
Beyoncé’s previous tour, On the Run II with husband JAY-Z, grossed $254 million in revenue. The Renaissance Tour begins on May 10 in Sweden, with the North American leg starting on July 8 in Toronto and hitting cities such as Philadelphia, Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Houston.
