Legendary actress Betty White, known for her role on the hit television series “The Golden Girls” and many other popular television series, passed away today, Dec. 31, 2021, according to her agent Jeff Witjas.
“Betty has had a fantastic life and career, and she was one of the most positive people I know. She is now reunited with her (late husband) Allen Ludden.”
White was scheduled to celebrate her 100th birthday on Jan 17 and was looking forward to doing so in style.
At 93, White told USA TODAY she was open to more acting.
“That’s one of the things I appreciate the most, that I’m still invited to work. Usually, you get to a given age, and that’s a couple of decades ago for me, and work dries up, but, oh, I’ve been so lucky. Work is just a joy. I know it can’t go on forever, but I’m making the most of whatever comes along.”
