In a recent heartfelt discussion on Drink Champs, Benzino opened up about his ongoing feud with Eminem, addressing the emotional moment in an Instagram post afterward.
The former publisher of The Source magazine acknowledged shedding tears during the show, reflecting on the cathartic experience in a caption accompanied by an image titled “reasons why crying is good.”
Expressing his sentiments, Benzino wrote: “I had so much built-up anger, frustration, and evil inside of me… Ngl, minus the alcohol… I needed that sh*t… it really helped.”
Additionally, Benzino shared a post from a friend emphasizing the significance of displaying emotions, stating, “Crying don’t make you weak, crying is just a human emotion, don’t ever get it twisted, a n***a will cry right before he push ya sh*t back.”
During his appearance on N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN’s podcast, Benzino became visibly emotional when discussing his feud with Eminem, exacerbated by his state of intoxication.
Admitting his respect for Eminem’s talent, Benzino emphasized his priority for unity within the industry and expressed frustration over the perceived pressure for his daughter to align with Eminem due to his own conflicts.
He clarified, “I don’t have anything against Eminem. He can rap, but I care about us more. I don’t want to talk about it anymore. My daughter came into this industry figuring, ‘I gotta be cool with Eminem because everybody is against my dad.’”
Continuing, Benzino highlighted the complexity of the situation, stating, “I don’t hate Eminem. I don’t know him to hate him. I don’t hate white people. I’m tired of this shit, man. It’s just too much. I don’t want to be the bad guy. Eminem ain’t no bad person. He belongs in Hip Hop. It’s a big racist problem in America right now and Eminem could probably stop half of it.”
