Rapper B.G. is reportedly on the verge of returning home after serving a 14-year prison sentence that began over a decade ago. Recent sources suggest that his release is imminent, several months ahead of the previously projected date.
According to a report by theJasmineBrand on August 31st, insiders connected to B.G. have indicated that his release is expected “in a few days.” While his original projected release date was set for April 7, 2024, this new development seems to suggest that he could be returning home ahead of schedule by more than seven months.
We reached out to representatives for B.G. through iHearts143Quotes to confirm these reports. However, as of our press time, we have not received any official response or confirmation regarding this update.
This isn’t the first instance of rumored early release for the New Orleans native. In a prior incident, Birdman, the head of Cash Money Records and a mentor to B.G., stated in November that the rapper would be freed “in a few weeks.”
Regrettably, that prediction did not come to fruition. Another speculation earlier this year came from Boosie Badazz, who mentioned in an interview that B.G. might be “released this year.”
During an interview, Boosie Badazz shared that he has been maintaining regular contact with B.G. and is optimistic about his upcoming release. While an exact date hasn’t been confirmed, Boosie indicated that B.G. could be back home within three to four months. Boosie also revealed that preparations have been made for B.G.’s return, including checking the halfway house and his future residence.
Amidst the anticipation of his release, B.G. has been confiding in Boosie for a few special requests to ensure a warm welcome upon his return. According to Boosie, B.G. has expressed interest in certain individuals and even has some celebrity crushes.
