Atlanta rapper Trouble has reportedly died. The news of his passing began to surface early Sunday morning through many unconfirmed sources. The report from various Atlanta-based blogs say he was shot and killed in a home invasion at the residence of a female friend.
A suspect, identified as Jamichael Jones, 33, of Atlanta, Rockdale County Sheriff’s spokesperson Jedidia Canty said at a news conference Sunday. Jones, the suspect, was involved in a “domestic situation” with the woman Trouble was visiting, and he and Trouble did not know each other, Canty said.
Jones apprarently breached the woman’s residence and opened fire, striking Trouble in the chest once, Canty said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The rapper’s ex-girlfriend, model Alexis Sky, confirmed on Twitter that he has passed away. Trouble’s ex-girlfriend Alexis Skyy was one of the many reacting to the tragic news. Shortly after she found out, she shared a tweet from Trouble he posted just a couple of weeks ago. It read, “Life short af dawg smh. Neva know when yo numba gon be called! Move wit grace. Be grateful. Forgive – don’t forget. Love yo ppl. Respect life! It can be all ova anyday! On Lord.”
She added in a Twitter post, “RIP @troubleDTE. I’m so sorry this happen to you Skoob. You didn’t deserve this. I’m praying for your kids and family.” She included a photo of them together as well.
