Arriving solo to the event, Angela Simmons dazzled in a stunning emerald green dress paired with shimmering high heels. She later joined her boyfriend, Yo Gotti, inside the venue.
In her defense, Simmons described fashion as a form of art. However, many fans disagreed, criticizing her for being a poor role model. The negative feedback was so intense that Simmons disabled comments on her Instagram.
In response to the criticism, Simmons posted a video explaining that she never intended to cause harm. She also reflected on her personal experiences with gun violence, notably the tragic loss of her former fiancé and father of her son, Sutton Tennyson, who was fatally shot in 2019.
Expressing her regret, Simmons apologized to anyone who was offended, emphasizing that her choice was simply a “fashion moment.”
