One lucky guy was able to catch a rare Blue Parrotfish (Scarus Coeruleus) while fishing the deep blue sea. It’s not every day that you get the chance to reel in something special like this. But I’m assuming if you do get the chance to, it has to fill like winning the lottery.
The Blue Parrotfish is a member of the parrotfish genus Scarus. They are usually found on coral reefs in shallow water in the tropical and subtropical parts of the western Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.
Blue Parrotfish have been caught by a few other lucky people before too. They average 12 to 30 inches in length with a maximum length of 3 ft 11 inches. Blue Parrotfish develop a large “beak” like other parrotfish that is used for scraping algae and small organisms from rocks.
