50 Cent’s recent “Humor & Harmony” comedy and music festival in Shreveport has garnered high praise from the city’s Chief of Police, Wayne Smith, for its remarkable safety record—especially considering the city’s ongoing crime challenges.
The four-day event, which kicked off last Thursday, featured an impressive lineup of comedians, including Dave Chappelle, Katt Williams, Andrew Schulz, Matt Rife, and Bill Bellamy.
The festival also boasted musical performances from DaBaby, Master P, A Boogie, Moneybagg Yo, Muni Long, and 50 Cent himself, among others. Despite the large crowds, the event was completely crime-free, much to the relief of local law enforcement.
Chief Smith commended 50 Cent and his team for their meticulous planning, robust security measures, and flawless execution, which were key to ensuring the festival’s success.
“I haven’t seen this type of positive activity downtown since the late ’80s!” the Chief remarked. He even made a personal call to 50 Cent after the event to express his gratitude.
The festival wasn’t just about entertainment—it also had a charitable focus. Highlights included a celebrity basketball game, a car show, and the G-Zone, an immersive experience reminiscent of the Vegas Sphere.
Importantly, 100% of the proceeds from the event were donated to the G-Unity Foundation, further solidifying 50 Cent’s commitment to giving back to the community.
The crime-free success of the “Humor & Harmony” festival has set a new standard for events in Shreveport, demonstrating the power of thoughtful planning and community engagement.
