Rapper and businessman 50 Cent, who has forged several impressive partnerships with professional sports teams globally, demonstrated his unwavering commitment to community support when he readily extended a helping hand to an under-14 girls’ soccer team from Wales.
The enthusiastic young players of AFC Rumney, hailing from Cardiff, are set to grace the pitch this upcoming weekend, donning their striking new yellow G-Unit jerseys, proudly emblazoned with the name of the Hip-Hop mogul himself.
The heartwarming sponsorship story unfolded thanks to an unexpected connection. One of the team’s fathers happened to be working on 50 Cent’s much-anticipated Final Lap tour. When the opportunity presented itself, 50 Cent not only embraced the chance to sponsor the girls but also displayed a genuine interest in their team and its aspirations.

Richie Brown, the dedicated coach of the girls’ squad and a father of two of its members, shared the touching account of how 50 Cent readily embraced the partnership.
“Straight off, without hesitation, he agreed,” Brown explained to The Telegraph. “At first it was an unbelievable feeling. We were a bit cheeky and asked for more and he also sponsored our tracksuits. I’ve been involved in female football for 10 years. It’s really appreciated that it came around when we were in need of new stuff. We love his support for us,” Brown added.
"It was a parent of one of our players, and he was working on the American tour with 50 Cent."

The girls’ team is looking forward to the positive impact of their new kit, which comes at a time when they faced adversity with three consecutive losses at the start of the season.
Brown expressed his hope, stating, “This could give us our confidence back. We’ve sent a few photos over to him. 50 Cent actually showed an interest in who he was sponsoring. He wanted to know more about the team”
