50 Cent recently opened up about a conversation he had with Lil Durk, where he advised the Chicago rapper to keep a close watch on those around him.
During an extensive interview with The Breakfast Club on Tuesday (October 29), 50 Cent recounted meeting Durk and sharing some words of caution about the loyalty of his inner circle.
Reflecting on their encounter, 50 Cent explained, “When Durk was in New York, we were working on the Power theme song, and I asked him about his crew, saying, ‘This is them? They’re the real deal?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah, yeah,’ so I said, ‘Just watch them.’”
According to 50, Durk’s reaction hinted at his own concerns. “He told me, ‘Someone just came to my house recently. How did they know my address? Who would have given it to them? I didn’t tell anyone.’”
This moment seemed to foreshadow the incident in 2021 when a violent home invasion occurred at Lil Durk’s residence, leading to an exchange of gunfire between him and the intruders.
Speculation soon arose suggesting that someone within Lil Durk’s OTF crew might have been involved or even acted as an informant, which allegedly contributed to recent legal troubles for the rapper. While rumors circulate, no official confirmation or evidence supports these claims.
50 Cent’s warning underscores the ongoing tensions and risks faced by high-profile artists surrounded by large, often complex teams.
