In a dramatic turn of events, 50 Cent has reignited his feud with Rick Ross after footage emerged of Ross fleeing a backstage altercation with Drake’s supporters in Vancouver.
The incident took place at the Ignite Music Festival on June 30, where the tension escalated quickly following Ross’s performance.
During his set, Rick Ross, also known as Rozay, played Kendrick Lamar’s track “Not Like Us,” a known diss toward Drake. This choice of music didn’t sit well with a group of Drake supporters who confronted Ross and his entourage backstage.
Words were exchanged, and the confrontation quickly turned physical. One of the men sucker-punched Ross, igniting an all-out brawl.
The fight was intense, with Ross’s crew appearing to take the brunt of the beating. Multiple members of his team were knocked to the ground and suffered significant injuries. Despite the chaos, Ross managed to avoid serious harm and was seen making a hasty exit with the help of festival security.
Never missing an opportunity to troll his long-time rival, 50 Cent took to Instagram to share his take on the incident. He reposted the footage of Rick Ross fleeing the scene, captioning it with, “LMAO 🤣 THE GREAT ESCAPE! MEEKA CALL ☎️ THE CHASERS, THEY ARE CHASING ME. 😆 LOL.”
Adding fuel to the fire, 50 Cent also shared a video of Rozay’s ex-girlfriend, Tia Kemp, mocking the rapper for not fighting back. He captioned this post with a sarcastic remark about Ross’s future visits to Canada: “😟my guess is ya, won’t be going back to Canada 🇨🇦 acting like it ain’t what it is. LOL @tia_kemp2”
In a follow-up video, 50 Cent continued his mockery by sarcastically expressing concern for Ross and his crew. “Hey guys. I just saw a very unfortunate situation that took place in Canada, and I want to say to everyone that I hope that that brother made it home safely,” he said, adding that Ross might need to reconsider his actions while out in public.
As of now, Rick Ross has not directly responded to the fight footage or 50 Cent’s jabs. However, he did share a photo on his Instagram Stories, standing next to his private jet with the caption: “Vancouver it was fun, till next time.”
