50 Cent lost millions buying Mike Tyson’s old house out in Connecticut in 2003. 50 Cent was recently interviewed by Big Boy’s Neighborhood and had a lot to say about buying Mike’s old house that cost him millions.
Mike’s old house is 50,000-square-foot, with 21 bedrooms, 25 bathrooms, an indoor pool, a hot tub, a green screen room, an indoor court, multiple game rooms, a recording studio, and even a nightclub.
Big Boy asked 50 Cent if he had any financial regrets, to which 50 Cent responded by saying, “The Tyson crib was like that. That was definitely it. I paid $4.1 million and I sold it for $3 million.”
When asked how much it costs to maintain that type of property, 50 Cent said, “I had it for 14 years. The upkeep was about $700,000 a year.”
“If you don’t spend it, you know that IRS is gonna take it. I needed the expenses, so I ended up buying Mike Tyson’s home in Farmington and stuff like that. I was adjusting to it.”
