50 Cent Anticipates Podcast Triumphing Over “Narcos” Post Sentencing of Cartel Wife: Rapper and entrepreneur 50 Cent is optimistic about the immense popularity of his podcast, envisioning it surpassing the hit Netflix series “Narcos.” This projection comes in the wake of the sentencing of two infamous drug dealers’ wives.
Collaborating with investigative journalist Charlie Webster, 50 Cent co-hosts the podcast titled “Surviving El Chapo: The Twins Who Brought Down a Drug Lord.” The podcast centers around the captivating narrative of Pedro and Margarito Flores, former associates of the Sinaloa cartel who defected and became invaluable sources for the U.S. government, aiding in the conviction of the notorious drug lord Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán.
Recently, Vivianna Lopez and Valerie Gaytan, spouses of the Flores twins, received prison sentences for their involvement in money laundering activities linked to their husbands’ illicit gains. As reported by the Chicago-Sun Times, Lopez was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison for concealing substantial amounts of money from federal authorities. In April, she pleaded guilty to a money laundering conspiracy, confessing to harboring her husband’s drug money and collaborating with her sister and aunt to utilize it discreetly.
It is worth noting that Gaytan and Lopez previously authored a book titled “Cartel Wives,” which delves into their experiences as the partners of drug dealers. The book includes references to some of the unlawful activities in which the women participated.
50 Cent’s podcast, produced by G-Unit Audio and Lionsgate Sound, made its debut on October 19 and chronicles the Flores twins’ public revelation of their transformation from drug distributors responsible for a $2 billion empire across the nation to trusted informants for the government.
50 captioned his Instagram post, ” This sh** is wild, Surviving El Chopo podcast available everywhere podcast are. this gonna be bigger then Narcos I’m telling you this shit is crazy.
